Bhubaneswar: The State government’s Home Department today effected a brief reshuffle in the Odisha Secretariat Service (OSS) cadre. Accordingly, as many as 22 OSS officers were withdrawn from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), a notification issued in this regard mentioned.
In the matters relating to the withdrawal of services of the OSS cadre officers placed in the CMO and their posting as such in their respective Administrative Departments is hereby kept in abeyance until further orders, the official communiqué stated.

Bureaucratic reshuffles are going on following the formation of a new BJP government in Odisha. The saffron party secured a simple majority in the recently concluded polls to the Legislative Assembly.
In the Assembly elections, BJP won at least 78 seats out of the total 147 in Odisha, and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) secured as many as 51 seats. However, the Congress party won 14 seats in the State.
