Odisha HC asks govt to strengthen infrastructure of Law colleges

The Odisha High Court has directed the state government to take steps on the development of infrastructure in the existing Law colleges in the state and fill up vacant posts of teachers in these colleges within three months.

A division bench of the court comprising Justice Pradip Mohanty and Justice Biswajit Mohanty, while admitting a letter petition of Prasanna Panda, issued the directive to the secretary, Higher Education, who appeared in person before the court on Monday.

Informing the court that education in most of the Law colleges in the state has been badly affected due to acute shortage of teachers, the petitioner had alleged poor infrastructure in some of these colleges and prayed for the court’s immediate intervention.
