Cuttack, May 8:

The Orissa High Court today granted bail to Ponzi firm Seashore Group chief Prashant Dash in three cases filed against him.

Dash was granted bail by the High Court in three separate cases filed against him in three different police stations in Koraput district.

Dash has been granted bail in cases filed against him by Ranjit Gouda, Tapan Tripathy and Jhunu Sahoo in Semeliguda, Jeypore town and Koraput town police stations respectively, sources revealed.

The trio had alleged that Dash had duped them of about Rs 60 lakh by promising them higher rates of interest on their deposits, sources added.

Notably, Dash was arrested from Mumbai on June 19, 2013, by the Crime Branch in connection with the case registered against him at the Semeliguda police station.

However, Dash, who is currently lodged in the Jharpada Special Jail here, would remain in jail as he has been charged by the CBI in the multi-thousand crore chit fund scam.
