Odisha HC rejects bail plea of TMC MP Tapas Paul

The Orissa High Court today rejected the bail plea of Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Tapas Paul, who has been arrested over his alleged involvement in the Rose Valley Group chit fund scam.

Paul had moved the High Court seeking bail over health grounds, reports said.

The Special CJM (CBI) court in Bhubaneswar had earlier rejected the bail plea of the actor-turned-politician on January 7.

Notably, the Bengali cine star was arrested by the CBI on December 30 last year after being questioned by the agency.
