Odisha HC rejects plea to stay SAT abolition

Cuttack: The Orissa High Court today rejected a plea which had sought stay on abolition of the State Administrative Tribunal (SAT).

The High Court also directed the Central and Odisha governments to submit their replies in this connection. Next hearing on the matter will be held on September 5.

SAT Bar Association had yesterday moved the High Court and filed a writ petition challenging the abolition.

A gazette notification was issued by the Department of Personnel and Training under the Union Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions on August 2 regarding the abolition of SAT.
