Odisha Health & Family Welfare Minister Pradeep Amat today dispelled apprehensions over the scrapping of 100 undergraduate seats in SCB Medical College and Hospital (SCBMC&H) at Cuttack and termed it as ‘baseless’.
“SCB Medical College & Hospital is meeting all criteria as per Medical Council of India (MCI) guidelines. So apprehensions over 100 of its seats getting scrapped are baseless,” said Amat during his visit to SCBMC&H at Cuttack today.
The Health Minister held discussions with Principal of SCBMC&H over the institution’s infrastructure development and MCI’s report concerning it.
“SCBMC&H’s infrastructure development will be monitored and photographs and video CDs of it will be sent to MCI,” informed Amat.
