Bhubaneswar: Several districts of Odisha are likely to experience heat wave conditions on May 18 and 19, the Regional Meteorological Centre here forecasted today. Yellow Warning has been issued for these districts in this regard.

Temperature forecast: There will be no large change in maximum temperature (day temperature) during the next 24hrs and gradual rise by 2-4 degree Celsius in subsequent 4 days at many places over the districts of Odisha.
It also forecasted that many districts of Odisha may experience thunderstorm today.
"Thunderstorm with lightning accompanied with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, and thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Angul, Boudh, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, and Malkangiri," it said.
