Odisha High Court’s new website launched, ‘Justice Clock’ inaugurated

Cuttack: The Chief Justice of Orissa High Court, Justice KS Jhaveri today launched the court’s new website, inaugurated the State’s first ‘Justice Clock’ and the New Annexe of HC today.

The new website offers manifold amenities for lawyers, litigants and members of public such as case of navigation, access to different kinds of case related information and gateway to a number of relevant information portals. It is equipped with advanced security features and aims to be more responsive than its predecessor. The website also comes with the facility of convenient browsing for visually challenged persons.

Justice Clock, a Large Sized Video – Information Display System, shall be used for showcasing daily information regarding disposal and pendency of cases in district and subordinate courts of the State. It shall also be used as an additional medium of spreading Legal awareness, information about various e-courts services, schemes and any other court related information envisaged for the benefit of the litigants and members of public at large.

In order to address the long standing issue of space for advocates practicing in the High Court, provision has been made in the New Annexe for chambers of Advocates, Lawyers’ Academy, Advocates Clerks and Office of the Advocates Welfare Trust. Lawyers’ Academy purports to bring budding lawyers in close contact with legal luminaries who shall visit the Academy for sharing their knowledge and experience in the legal profession.

The event was attended by Judges of the High Court, the Advocate General of Odisha, members of the High Court Bar Association, Odisha and NIC Officials.
