Odisha HSC Exam pattern changed; Here’s all you need to know

Bhubaneswar: The Board of Secondary Examination (BSE), Odisha, has revised pattern of annual High School Certificate (HSC) Examination and State Open School Certificate (SOSC) Examination and Madhyama Examination, 2021.

The BSE updated the changed pattern at its website for the convenience of students. The examination pattern can be downloaded from the website http://www.bseodisha.ac.in/

As per the revised pattern, there will be two separate question papers in subjects — General Science & Social Science for HSC & SOSC candidates basing on old & new courses, a notification issued by BSE Odisha stated yesterday.

While the old course questions will be meant for HSC and SOCS ex-regular candidates, the new course questions have been posted on the BSE Odisha website for HSC and SOSC regular candidates.

The questions in other subjects for the annual HSC and SOSC Examination-2021 will remain same for the candidates of both regular and ex-regular categories.

Moreover, the question papers in all subjects for Madhyama Examination-2021 will be same for different category of students.

As per the pattern of annual HSC and SOSC examinations for the year 2021, the examination will be held in 20 subjects and each paper will comprise 50 marks of objective (50X1=50) and 30 (3X10=30) marks of subjective questions. The candidates need to attend each paper in two hours.

Similarly, the Madhyama Examination-2021 will be conducted in eight subjects.

Even as the test will be conducted for 80 marks in each subject, the evaluation will be done for 100 marks. The rest 20 marks will be awarded as per marks obtained by a student for 80 marks.
