The Board today received the question papers for the first three days of the examinations and admit cards.

“The admit cards were despatched to the zones in all 30 districts this evening. The admit cards would be kept at the zones for at least 2/3 days for verification after which they would be sent to the office of the district education officer (DEO). The Board has requested the centre superintendents to collect the admit cards from the DEO and hand them over to the schools which are tagged to the centre,” BSE president Prof Dakhshya Prasad Nanda informed the media.

Stating that as the Board had decided not to accept handwritten admit cards from this year, he said the Board should be immediately informed about any mistake found in the admit card so that it can generate error-free admit card and send it to the concerned schools before the commencement of the examinations.

“After the despatch of admit cards, the Board will start the despatch of question papers of the first three days of the examinations to the all nodal centres from February 11. We have decided to despatch these question papers to the nodal centres in the remote districts in the western and southern zones in the first phase. The questions papers would be despatched to the remaining centres in the next phase,” he added.

Nanda also informed that the Board is in the process of identifying sensitive and extra-sensitive centres through the DEOs where an observer would be posted till the conclusion of the examinations.

Since shortage of OMR sheets were reported from some centres last year, the Board has decided to keep 25 additional OMR sheets in stock at each centre where the centre superintendents can use them when necessary.

“We have also decided to keep additional questions papers in stock at the nodal centres which would be used if any shortage is found in the examination centres. The concerned centre superintendents can collect the question papers from the nodal centres with prior permission from the DEO,” he added.
