The industrialist’s estranged daughter-in-law has sought a compensation of Rs 5 crore, a monthly maintenance of Rs 75,000 and custody of her son in her petition.

She has also prayed for providing her security in view of the threat to her life from her husband and in-laws.

“Today I met the DSWO, Khordha. I appealed for the DR order. I have submitted all documents. The ACP had visited me after I had filed the FIR at Badagada police station yesterday. He made checked every detail,” said Lopamudra to reporters after submitting her petition.

The DSWO, Khordha who received Lopamudra’s petition has said that she would be forwarding a DR to the Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate Bhubaneswar by tomorrow after filling up necessary details.

“She wants protection, residence, monetary relief and compensation. We will forward the DIR to Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate Bhubaneswar by tomorrow,” said DSWO Khordha to reporters.

It may be recalled here that Lopamudra apart from levelling charges of physical and mental torture for dowry against Sabyasachi and his family members, had also alleged that her husband had proposed her to go for wife-swapping with a foreigner during a trip to Port Blair.

She had lodged a complaint at the Mahila Police Station on May 10 vide case no. 117/2016 alleging to have been subjected to physical and mental torture for dowry by her husband and her in-laws.

Since no action was taken by the police even after a month of her lodging the complaint with the police she revealed her story of torture before the media on Tuesday.

Further, on Wednesday, Lopamudra lodged a complaint at the Badagada police station that five to six unidentified young men on Tuesday late in the evening had barged into her parental home at Tankapani Road where she is currently residing.

In the complaint, she had stated that these men had threatened to kill her apart from warning her to kidnap her son if she went to the police or media against her husband and father-in-law.
