Odisha: Jatra artiste Trupti Panda dies of COVID-19

Balasore: Popular Jatra artiste Trupti Panda died of COVID-19 at the Balasore District Headquarters Hospital here, yesterday. She was 32.

Trupti and her husband Sushant were admitted to the hospital recently after they tested positive for the virus. While the actress breathed her last in the evening, Sushant was undergoing treatment.

She was also the sister-in-law of noted Jatra artiste Daitari Panda. She is survived by her husband and five-year-old daughter.

It was a dark day for the Jatra industry yesterday as veteran artiste Jagannath (Jaga) Rout also succumbed to COVID-19. A pall of gloom has descended on the fraternity.
