Odisha Kantabanji MLA Ayub Khan has alleged that he has received a death threat that he will be killed in 10 days via SMS from Maoists.

Bolingir district Kantabhanji MLA Haji Mohammad Ayub Khan has received a death threat from the Maoists. A complaint has been registered by the MLA in the Kantabhanji police station and the police are investigating the case.

Notably, after police arrested Maoist commander Nirmala Majhi, Khan received a call on his mobile asking him to protest against the arrest. Khan taken the issue lightly, but four days ago after the murder of naib sarpanch in Belapada in the district, he had again got threat message on his mobile.

The SMS says that the MLA will be killed within 10 days. The number has been checked and found to be an unknown person’s number.
