Odisha: Kolkata returnee dies at quarantine centre

Bhadrak: A Kolkata returnee reportedly died at a quarantine centre in Korkora panchayat of Odisha’s Bhadrak district today. The deceased was a migrant worker.

According to reports, the person reached Bhadrak by train last evening, following which he was lodged at the quarantine centre as per government’s COVID-19 guidelines. However, he was found dead at the quarantine centre this morning.

Though the reason behind the death was yet to be ascertained, family sources said he had diabetes. The body will be cremated as per COVID-19 guidelines, said Nodal Officer Abhaya Lenka.
