The team, led by CBI SP BK Singh and DSP M Pathak, had begun investigation into the case on February 25 a day after its arrival in the district.

During its eight-day stay in the district, the team had visited Tikiri Upper Primary School and interrogated the school staff, former school headmaster Chandrasekhar Panda.

Besides, it had also interrogated Abha and Manorama—wives of Netrananda Dandasena, former headmaster of the school who is currently lodged in Rayagada Sub Jail—and his daughter Nalini.

The team had also visited the Sub Jail and collected information about the visitors who had met Dandasena.

While the CBI DSP has appealed the local court to direct the police to submit the copies all relevant files pertaining to the case, the SP has gone through all documents including the complaints lodged by Itishree after collecting them from the district administration.

It is not yet known as to who the CBI would call for interrogation in its next visit to the district.
