Odisha: Last date for Plus II first phase admission extended

Bhubaneswar:  Odisha Government today extended the last date for the first phase admission into Plus II courses in Higher Secondary Schools across the state.

The admission that began from September 21 will continue till September 30. The previous dateline for the first phase admission was September 26, said a notification issued by the Directorate of Higher Secondary Education today.

As many as 3,47,626 selected students will be enrolled in the first phase. The Admission In-charges of respective Higher Secondary Schools are requested to accept admission of CBSE and ICSE students with Digilocker certificate and undertaking from them to produce original certificate for the verification within one month from the date of admission.

The Government has earlier issued modalities for the admission amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Principals and Admission In-charges of respective schools have been advised to strictly adhere to the COVID-19 guidelines, including provision of thermal scanner, use of sanitizer and face mask and social distancing.

Batch of 15 applicants will be allotted per hour per stream for each Higher Secondary School during the admission. The schools have been advised to engage admission team in phases-one batch from 9 AM to 1 PM and another from 1:30 PM to 5 PM.

There will be a lunch break between 1 PM and 2 PM. Last hour (4 PM-5 PM) will be reserved for the applicants, who fail to report as per the time mentioned in their intimation Letter.
