Bhubaneswar: In an initiative to provide career guidance during COVID-19 pandemic, the State School & Mass Education Department launched a portal for students looking for professional education required to build career.
“The new move is a unique and timely action,” said State School & Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash after launching the ‘Odisha Career’ portal here today.
“At a time the COVID-19 has affected the human lives, the portal will help the students, who are in search of better career options,” he said.
The students can access www.odishacareerportal.com and get necessary information regarding career selection with easy login. They can apply for pursuing the professional courses through the website, which has been developed with help of Unicef.
Apart from it, the students can get details about the educational institutions and interact with concerned teachers directly through the portal.
A mobile application of the portal has been developed. Around 17 lakh students can be benefitted through the app.
The site has been developed in Odia language for career guidance.
