Odisha launches e-pass system for stranded

Bhubaneswar: In order to ease the troubles of persons from other States stranded in Odisha to reach their respective states, the State government today launched an e-pass system for them.

Anyone from other States, who has been stranded in Odisha and wants to return amid COVID-19 lockdown, can register on a website, http://covid19.odisha.gov.in and apply for an e-pass.

The move is also helpful for those who wish to travel to other States, an official said.

Steps to get an e-pass:

Log on to the website and provide details of travel itinerary

The applicant then furnish passenger and driver details

After submission of details, the application will be reviewed by district authorities. On approval, the applicant can view, download and print e-pass from the website. e-Pass number with vehicle and passenger details will be sent to the applicant through email and SMS to the registered mobile number.
