Odisha launches four online services to ensure better food security

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government today launched four online services under the Food Supply and Consumer Welfare department.

Through video conference Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the online services for the people of the State and said the move will be another milestone in ensuring transparency and efficiency in governance.

Farmers can register themselves for paddy sale through citizen services link on www.foododisha.in . Also, beneficiaries can apply for ration cards or make corrections online through the website. Payment of license fee for ration shops and access to prices of food grains can be done as well on the website.

The Chief Minister directed officials to create awareness on the online services and keep a track on how many beneficiaries availed the facility in a month.

Patnaik unveiled a book titled ‘Making of a Food Secure Odisha’ during the programme.

Among others, Minister Ranendra Pratap Swain, Secretary VV Yadav and senior officials were present during the programme.
