Odisha launches shuttle bus service for tourists to Dhauli hilltop

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government launched the shuttle bus service for safe transportation of the tourists visiting Dhauli hilltop.

The six-26-seat buses were flagged off by Culture and Tourism Minister Ashok Chandra Panda on Sunday to take the visitors to Dhauli hilltop and bring them back.

The service was launched for the safety of tourists, official sources in the tourism department said.

Besides, a parking lot was inaugurated in the foothills of Dhauli where the tourist buses will be parked.

While there will be no fee for parking the tourist buses at the parking lot located near the tourist complex, the visitors have to pay Rs 10 per person to use the shuttle bus service. The shuttle bus will be available every 15 minutes, official said.

The government is planning to introduce ropeway service in major tourist destinations like Kapilas, Barunei and Dhauli in upcoming days, said Panda.
