Odisha legislative council committee to visit Bihar, Andhra in July

Bhubaneswar: A committee on Odisha Legislative Council will visit Bihar and Andhra Pradesh on July 4 and 5 respectively to make a detailed study about formation and functioning of upper house in the state, informed Commerce and Transport Minister Nrusingha Charan Sahu here today.

The committee headed by Sahu will study the functioning of the legislative council in other states and submit a report to the Chief Minister Office.

Earlier, the legislative council committee constituted in 2015 has visited Maharashtra and Karnataka.

The panel also comprises the BJD legislators Pramila Mallick and Manohar Randhari, Bhujabal Majhi of the Congress and BJP MLA Nitesh Gangdev as members.
