Odisha: Lockdown imposed in panchayat after two COVID deaths

Sundargarh: Amid upsurge in COVID-19 cases across Odisha, lockdown will be imposed in Badagaon panchayat of Sundargarh district for 3 days as two persons of the area succumbed to the disease in two days.

As per the decision taken by the Badagaon Sarpanch, lockdown will be imposed in the panchayat from April 15 to 17.

All shops, except those selling essential commodities, will remain closed during the period. This apart, weekly market in the area scheduled on April 15 and 18 will be closed.

Worth mentioning, the panchayat has reported more than 50 COVID-19 cases within a week, besides two deaths.
