Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported 1208 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, a marginal decline, taking the total caseload to 9,84,731 so far.
Of new positive cases, 702 were reported from different quarantine centres and 506 were the local contacts, informed the State Information & Public Relations Department today.
Khordha district registered 399 fresh cases, the highest in a single day, followed by Cuttack district with 173 cases.
The remaining 28 districts logged below 100 cases in the last 24 hours.

With this, the number of active COVID cases reached 13,006 in Odisha so far.
Meanwhile, 66 more COVID infectees died of the virus in the State, informed the State Dashboard today. The State’s toll due to the virus now stands at 6,302.
The deaths were reported from 16 districts — Angul (4), Balasore (6), Bhadrak (1), Balangir (2), Cuttack (1), Ganjam (10), Jharsuguda (1), Kandhamal (1), Keonjhar (3), Khordha (19), Mayurbhanj (2), Nayagarh (1), Nuapada (1), Puri (2), Rayagada (1) and Sambalpur (1).
