Odisha logs 447 new COVID-19 cases; Single-day infections decline in Khordha

Bhubaneswar: Another 447 persons including 78 children aged between 0 and 18 years tested positive for COVID-19 in last 24 hours in Odisha, informed the State Information & Public Relation (I&PR) Department today.

The fresh cases were reported from 26 districts, of which 260 were from different quarantine centres and 187 were the local contacts.

Total 69,161 samples were tested yesterday, out of which 447 samples were found positive for COVID-19. With this, the State’s TPR stood at 0.64%.

Khordha district registered below 200 daily infections for the first time during second wave of pandemic. The district reported 180 cases in last 24 hours.

With this, the total COVID caseload rose to 10,38,411 with 4,542 active cases in the State so far.
