Odisha logs 467 fresh COVID-19 cases, 5 deaths

Bhubaneswar: With detection of 467 fresh cases in the last 24 hours, the state’s COVID-19 tally today further surged to 10,34,276. The new infectees include 66 aged between 0 and 18 years.

Of the fresh cases detected from 26 districts, 271 are quarantine cases and 196 local contacts. Khordha district recorded highest 221 single-day cases and Cuttack saw 67 fresh infections.

As 60,036 samples were tested yesterday, the Test Positivity Rate (TPR) stood at 0.77 % for the day. The number of active cases now stands at 5203.

Meanwhile, the state today reported five COVID fatalities: three from Nabarangpur district and two from Bhubaneswar.
