Odisha logs 625 new COVID cases including 80 children; TPR 1.16%

Bhubaneswar: A total of 625 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Odisha during the last 24 hours while as many as 53527 samples were tested in the state, yesterday. The Test Positivity Rate (TPR) for the day stood at 1.16%.

Out of the 625 cases, 80 are children below 18 years of age. Khurda district reported highest 214 fresh infections, followed by Cuttack (56) and Balasore (50).

With this, the COVID-19 tally in the state reached 1002323 with 8443 active cases.

The Health Department also reported 67 more deaths due to COVID-19 as the toll mounted to 7493. Cuttack district reported highest 20 fatalities.
