Bhubaneswar: Odisha registered 7,729 new positive cases of COVID-19 in last 24 hours with Khordha becoming in top position with over 1,000 single-day cases.
Of fresh cases from all 30 districts in Odisha, 4,331 have been reported from different quarantine centres and 3,398 cases are the local contacts, informed the State Information & Public Relation (I&PR) Department today.
Total 68,604 tests were conducted, of which 7,729 persons tested positive for COVID-19.
Khordha district continued to zoom more than 1,000 cases in a single day. While the worst-hit district registered 1,062 new cases followed by Cuttack district with 720 cases and Angul district with 449 new COVID cases, Mayurbhanj and Balasore emerged as next vulnerable districts with 442 and 426 cases respectively in a day.
