Odisha logs over 1000 new Covid-19 cases for 2nd consecutive day

Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported over 1000 new Covid-19 cases in past 24 hours for the second consecutive day. The single-day infections stood at 1,065 following test on Friday.

According to State Information & Public Relation Department, of new 1065 Covid cases, 624 were from different quarantine centres and 441 were the local contacts.

While Khordha continues to be in top in terms of the highest Covid infections in a single day with 361, Cuttack district registered 135 cases followed by Sundargarh district with 111 cases in a 24-hour-period.

With this, the total number of Covid cases in Odisha reached 12,98,240, of which 5376 were active so far.
