Odisha lowers price of rapid antigen test

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government today reduced the price of rapid antigen test at private laboratories in the State for persons with suspected Covid symptoms. The move will help people to undergo Covid test at an affordable price.

As per a notification issued by the Health and Family Welfare Department, the maximum cost of rapid antigen test at private laboratories has been refixed at Rs 100 including GST.

“The tests will be conducted by private laboratories under the supervision of RMRC, Bhubaneswar following ICMR guidelines regarding the testing protocols for rapid antigen test,” the notification read.

Earlier, the State government allowed private bodies to charge a maximum Rs 450 for rapid antigen test.
