Suspecting extramarital affair, Odisha man axes wife to death

Balangir: In a shocking incident, a person allegedly hacked his wife to death at Mundadara village under Belpara police limits in Odisha’s Balangir district and surrendered at police station.

According to reports, Dhabaleswar Chiragun, the accused husband, attacked his wife Baidehi with an axe, which led to her death on the spot. Dispute was prevailing between the two as Dhabaleswar was suspecting Baidehi of having extramarital affair, reports said.

He surrendered before police after committing the murder. Police have started investigation into the incident and sent the body for post-mortem.
