Odisha: Man beats wife to death over family feud

Sambalpur: A woman was beaten to death by her husband over family dispute at Ledimahula village under Jamanakira police limits in Sambalpur district last night.

The deceased has been identified as Binodini Deepa.

Sources said Binodini had a verbal duel with her husband Upendra Deepa over some issues late last night. In a fit of rage, Upandra started beating his wife with a wooden stick killing her on the spot. The accused later fled the spot after committing the crime.

However, Upendra surrendered before Kuchinda police this morning and confessed to his crime. The police sent the body to hospital for post-mortem.
