Man crushed to death by elephant in Odisha’s Keonjhar

Keonjhar: An elephant trampled a person to death at Sankari village under Phulajhara panchayat of Odisha’s Keonjhar district late last night.

The deceased has been identified as Binod Dehury. He was outside his house near a farmland last night when an elephant attacked him and crushed him to death on the spot.

Panic gripped the area following the incident while locals expressed resentment alleging that the Forest Department hasn’t taken adequate steps in this regard even after deaths of more than seven persons of the area in elephant attack in the recent past.
