Odisha man dies of asphyxiation while recovering dead cat from well

Jajpur: A man died of asphyxiation inside a well in Majhipatna village of Deoda panchayat under Dharmasala police limits in Odisha’s Jajpur this morning.

The deceased has been identified as 42-year-old Dinaka Sahoo of Alanisahoopatna village.

According to reports, Dinaka was recovering a dead cat from inside the well of one Pitambar Nayak in Majhipatana village when he suffocated to death. His body was fished out of the well by locals.

Till the filing of this report, local police had not reached the accident spot.
