Odisha man enters Guinness World Records for largest collection of butterfly-related items

Balangir: Hardik Bhammar from Odisha entered the Guinness World Records for collecting photographs of varities of items featuring image of different butterfly species.

He created the world record for collecting 6,055 butterfly-related items, which is the largest collection so far.

Hardik Bhammar, a businessman by profession at Thikadarpada in Balangir town, was very passionate about clicking photographs of butterflies and collecting varieties of butterfly-related items since his childhood. He collected various objects with pictures of butterflies on them including coins, currency notes, match boxes and stamps.

On November 7, 2021, he had applied for Guinness World Records.

Earlier, a woman had made the Guinness World Records for collecting more than 1300 such items.

Now, Hardik made a new record breaking the previous record made by the woman.

“Efforts are continuing to collect 10,000 butterfly-related items in the coming days,” said Hardik adding that he will continue to collect more such materials with butterflies.
