Odisha man fined Rs 26,000 for letting minor to drive his motorcycle

Pallahara: A joint team of Talcher Regional Transport Office and Pallahara Police today fined the owner of a motorcycle for allowing a minor boy to ride without helmet.

As per reports, the regional transport office and police staff were checking documents of vehicles near Jhimiripali Chhhak. In the meantime, a 16-year-old boy riding a motorcycle was caught by the team for helmetless riding.

During questioning, the minor boy revealed that the motorcycle belongs to one Anil Kumar Jena of Nua Sidingi village.

The RTO staff and police later imposed Rs 25,000 fine for allowing a minor to drive the motorcycle and another Rs 1,000 penalty for helmetless riding.

They have issued the challan in the name of Anil Kumar, the motorcycle owner and seized the vehicle.
