Odisha: Man found hanging near paramour’s house; wife alleges murder

Rourkela: A married man was found hanging from a tree in front of a young woman’s house in Shivaji Nagar slum under Sector-15 here this morning.

Sources said few locals found Sonu Badaik hanging from a tree in front of his alleged paramour’s house this morning and called up police. A police team reached the spot and recovered the body.

Prima facie, it is suspected that the man ended his life as the woman refused to marry him.

However, his wife alleged that Sonu was killed by someone as he had extra-marital affair with the woman and later his body was hanged from the tree to give it a suicide look.

Investigation with the help of a scientific team has already begun into the incident. The exact cause behind his death will be ascertained soon, said police.
