Cuttack, July 14: Unidentified miscreants hacked to death one person at Parida Sahi in Shankarpur area in Odisha’s Cuttack city this morning.

One Ganesh Rout of Parida Sahi of Shankarpur locality was hacked to death by some unidentified miscreants with a sharp weapon while he was on his way to drop his child at a nearby school, sources said.

Following information, police rushed to the spot sent the body to SCB Medical College and Hospital for autopsy.

Old rivalry is suspected to be behind the murder, police sources said.

Cuttack DCP Sanjeev Arora said investigation is on and the culprits will be nabbed very soon.
