Odisha: Man killed by brother-in-law over extra-marital affair

Balangir: A person was allegedly killed by his brother-in-law at Karlabahali village under Kantabanji police limits in Balangir district over the former’s extra-marital affair.

The deceased has been identified as Dillip Chhura (30).

Sources said Dillip had married to one Gouri of Chaulasukha village in the district a few years ago. Due to financial instability, he was working outside the State as a labourer. During his stay, he had developed an extra-marital affair with another woman there ad later got married to her.

When he returned to his village, his wife came to know about his second marriage and started fighting with him for the same. Dillip used to beat his wife as she has been opposing his illicit affair.

After coming to know this, Gouri’s brother came to Dillip’s house last night and attacked him brutally. Critically-injured Dillip was admitted to a hospital, where he was declared dead.
