Odisha man kills father over altercation, absconds

Sonepur: A man allegedly killed his father following an altercation between the two at Bairagipali village under Birmaharajpur police limits in Odisha’s Sonepur district, today.

According to reports, a heated exchange of words erupted between Jagmohan Ghuta and his father Ganda Ghuta over a particular issue. It later took an ugly turn as Jagmohan lost his cool and attacked his father with a sharp weapon killing him on the spot.

The accused later fled the spot and absconded after committing the crime. Police have recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem. Investigation into the matter is underway and efforts are on to nab the accused.
