Bhubaneswar: A man allegedly killed his nonagenarian mother and burned her body inside their house in Kandhamal district of Odisha today.

The deceased has been identified as Manjula Nayak (95) of Badimunda Khajurisahi under Tikabali police limits in Kandhamal.

Manjula’s son Samir allegedly killed her over some issue in the wee hours of today. Samir, later, burned her body inside their house by using some wooden furniture and firewood, sources said.

On being informed by the locals, polie rushed to the village and detained the accused.
