Nabarangpur: In a highly shocking incident, a man allegedly murdered his son and later surrendered before police in Odisha's Nabarangpur district, today.

According to reports, Amal Basu of Kumuli village under Raighar block in the district hit his son Asit Basu (24) with a crowbar following a dispute between the two late last night. Asit sustained critical injuries on his head and breathed his last on the spot.

The accused surrendered at the local police station early this morning. Police have recovered the body and initiated investigation into the matter.
