Odisha man murders wife, dumps body at forest

Baripad: A person allegedly murdered his wife and dumped the body at a forest in Purnachandrapur area under Morada police limits in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district, today.

According to reports, Jena Bhakta and his wife Golapi Bhakta had a heated exchange of words last night over a family dispute. The incident took an ugly turn when Jena thrashed Golapi to death with a wooden plank.

The accused dumped the body at a nearby forest this morning and covered it with leaves. However, locals spotted the body and informed the police.

Cops have detained Jena for questioning and started investigation into the incident. The body has been recovered by police.
