Odisha man murders wife over family feud

Keonjhar: A person allegedly murdered his wife following a dispute between the two at Kharaba village under Harichandanpur police limits in Odisha’s Keonjhar district last night.

According to reports, a heated exchange of words erupted between Jethu Mallar and his wife Kankad Mallar over a issue.

Losing his cool, Jeethu hacked his wife with an axe leading to her death on the spot. He then fled the spot after committing the crime.

On being informed, police reached the village and recovered the body which was lying in a pool of blood. It was sent for post-mortem.

Efforts are on to nab the accused who has gone absconding, police sources said.
