Odisha man on the run for over 6 months after beheading wife arrested

Puri: Unraveling the mystery surrounding the recovery of the headless body of a woman inside a train at Puri Railway Station in June last year, the Puri GRP today informed that the woman was killed by her husband inside a toilet of the train.

The police have identified the deceased as Gitanjali Mallick of Jajpur district. Besides, the cops also arrested the accused identified as Kapil Mallick.

As per the police, Kapil had killed her wife in a toilet of Puri-Gunupur passenger train on June 20 last year.

Worth mentioning, the torso of Gitanjali was found inside the toilet of Gunupur-Puri passenger train at Puri railway station while her head was spotted at Gandhi Peeth level crossing in Delang area of Puri.
