Odisha man receives praise from Mohammad Kaif for selfless act

Cuttack: A book binder from Silver City Cuttack in Odisha has become the talk of the town after his received a note of appreciation from former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif for his selfless service to mankind.

Cremating unattended bodies of poor patients at crematorium with traditional funeral service has given a new identity to Abhimanyu Das in human society, where attending a funeral of unknown persons is rarely seen.

For his service to mankind, he has won heart of the former cricketer, who could not stop himself to laud Abhimanyu on social media platforms.

Taking to Twitter and Facebook, Kaif wrote:

Abhimanyu Das is a book binder from Odisha who lost his mother & other loved ones in the battle with cancer. He decided to serve humanity & selflessly take care of poor cancer patients, cremate unattended bodies & help in their last rites. Service to mankind is service to god.

He shared two photographs of Abhimanyu on social networking sites showing him as a messiah of poor cancer patients.

Expressing gratitude to Kaif for his acknowledgement, Abhimanyu shared his thoughts on Facebook.

Abhimanyu Das, a resident of Netaji Nagar, is a popular name in Cuttack city for his pious motto to serve poor cancer patients at the State-run Acharya Harihar Regional Cancer Centre (AHRCC).

He shifted his focus from a small business and dedicated his rest of life to cancer patients after he lost his four family members including mother in battle against the deadly disease.
