Odisha man trampled to death by jumbo while guarding crop

Dhenkanal: An elephant trampled a man to death while he was guarding crop at his farmland near Gadapalasuni village under Parjang police limits in Odisha's Dhenkanal district, late last night.

Narayan Nayak (55), the deceased, sustained critical injuries after being attacked by the pachyderm and was rushed to Parjang hospital. He was later shifted to Kamakhyanagar hospital as his condition deteriorated.

However, he breathed his last while undergoing treatment, hospital sources said.
