Odisha man who claimed to be ‘President of Ghosts’ Association’ arrested in murder case

Khordha: A man who had recently made a bizarre claim of being the ‘President of Ghosts’ Association’ was yesterday arrested in Khordha in connection with a murder case of 2013.

The accused, identified as Bipin Kumar Routray (52) of Nandapur village, while speaking to a regional news channel had said that he came in contact with as many as 400002 ghosts.

Routray also said he had talked to the ghost of deceased minister Naba Das.

The video of his statement had gone viral on various social media platforms.

On the other hand, three warrants were issued against Routray over the offences committed by him. Eventually, the Khordha Sadar police apprehended him while he had come to the village.

He was produced before a local court and later sent to jail here.
