Odisha Maoist leader Sabyasachi launches strike in jail

Odisha’s top Maoist leader Sabyasachi Panda, currently lodged in Brahmapur Circle Jail, is again on strike since Thursday.

He launched strike protesting negligence in hearing his cases pending at different courts.

According to reports, while 21 cases are pending at Mohana court in Gajapati district against him, he is not being produced in the court.

He demanded immediate hearing of the pending cases and appealed to inform him the number of cases is pending against him.

Despite several written requests he has failed to get the list of cases pending against him following which he resorted to the strike on Thursday.

Earlier, the Maoist leader had also launched strike for several times in the jail to press his demands.
