Odisha: Mastermind behind murder of Cong activist, journalist held

Bhubaneswar: Prime accused in the murder of Congress activist and a journalist was arrested by Banki police here last evening.

The mastermind of the murder case has been identified as Bhramarabara Pradhan.

Congress activist Bhagwan Swain and journalist Aditya Ranasingh were attacked by some miscreants with sharp weapons near Joklanji in Banki on Feburary 15. Aditya succumbed on the spot while Bhagwan died while undergoing treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital.

Earlier, ten persons were arrested in connection with the murder. Following an investigation, the Banki police arrested Bhramarabara on charges of plotting the murder.
