Odisha Matric Exam Answer Sheets Evaluation postponed for cyclone Amphan

Bhubaneswar: Considering the advancement of super cyclonic storm Amphan (pronounced as Um-pun) that is likely to hit five districts in Odisha, evaluation of Matric examination answer sheets that  was scheduled to begin on May 20, has been postponed by a day, said School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash today.

As per the latest development, the evaluation will resume on May 21.

The decision was taken at a meeting held at Lok Seva Bhawan here earlier in the day.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Matric answer sheet evaluation was conducted for two days- March 18 and March 19 and stopped after that following announcement of COVID-19 lockdown. Recently, the state Government had declared to resume the evaluation from May 20.

As many as 23,000 teachers will be engaged for the evaluation  to be carried out in over 60 centres . The teachers were supposed to report in their respective allotted centres on May 19. But, due to the approaching cyclone, the date has been rescheduled.
